Moving Series: My Final Walmart Run Before Move-In 🏡
Moving into a new home is exciting, but it also comes with a long list of things you suddenly realize you need. Before move-in day, I made one last trip to Walmart to pick up a few essentials—and, of course, a few things caught my eye along the way!
One of my favorite finds was a beautiful area rug. It would have looked perfect in my new home, but I decided to leave it behind for now and stick to my budget. Creating a home is a process, and I’ve learned that I don’t have to buy everything at once.
I also found a gorgeous set of pots and pans that I absolutely loved. As tempting as they were, they just weren’t in my budget this time. Sometimes the hardest part of shopping is walking away from the things you really want, but I’m reminding myself that there’s always another opportunity.
One purchase I was excited to make was for my son’s bathroom. He decided he wanted an all-black theme, so I picked up a few black towels and washcloths to help bring his vision to life. I can’t wait to see how his space comes together!
Of course, no moving trip would be complete without stocking up on household essentials. Every time I thought I had my list finished, I remembered something else I needed. If you’ve ever moved, you probably know exactly what I mean!
One thing this experience has taught me is that creating a home isn’t about buying everything in one day. It’s about taking your time, making thoughtful choices, and building a space that reflects the people who live there. Little by little, it all comes together.
If you saw something in this post that you loved, I’ve linked as many of the items as I could find in my Walmart Creator storefrontto make shopping easier.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you in the next chapter of my Moving Series as we continue turning this house into a home—one step at a time. 🤍
